1. General information
The main objective of the subject is that the student identifies the actors that participate with Spain in programs within international organizations (NATO, EU, etc.) or at bilateral level, as well as the particularities of the management in these areas. They should also be initiated in protocol and public relations, as well as in the national regulation of the foreign market(import-export).
The subject is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular numbers 16 ("Peace, justice and strong institutions") and 17 ("Partnerships to achieve the goals"). There are no prerequisites to take this subject.
However, it is recommended that it be taken once the subject of defence system acquisition policies and Project Management have been completed
2. Learning results
The subject aims to enable the student to achieve an understanding of the specificities of international management, the actors that may be encountered in the future in the case of international acquisitions, the applicable regulations, the protocol and public relations. The learning of this subject allows the student to reach a detailed knowledge of the characteristics of international management in a broad sense. In this way they becomes familiar with an environment that is expected to become increasingly important due to initiatives at the European level.

1. Introduction.
2. Definition of actors in international relations: The European framework.
3. Definition of actors in international relations: The Transatlantic framework.
4. Institutional support and collaboration between governments.
5. Protocol and communication.
6. Regulation and control of trade in defence materials and foreign investments.
4. Academic activities
- NON-FACE-TO-FACE ACTIVITIES, through materials deposited in the virtual campus. The interaction teacher-student will be facilitated through chats and forums. A guide for reading the material and completing the activities will be included.
- FACE-TO-FACE AND VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES, through videoconference platform and interaction by voice and image or by chat
- FACE-TO-FACE ACTIVITIES by means of classic master classes. They will be carried out at the facilities designated by the Ministry of Defence in the Madrid area.
The dates for each activity, as well as for the submission of any corresponding work, will be set in accordance with the academic calendar established by the Centro Universitario de la Defensa.
5. Assessment system
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
Students will be able to pass the subject by continuous evaluation. The following evaluation tests will be conducted: E01 - Self-assessment activities: 10%.
E02 - Resolution of exercises and practical work: 30%.
E03 - Performance of a written test with theoretical and practical contents: 60%.
To pass the subject, the student must obtain a final grade greater than or equal to 5.
FIRST CALL. GLOBAL TEST
Students who do not pass the subject by continuous evaluation or who want to improve their grade will have the right to take the overall test set in the academic calendar, prevailing, in any case, the best of the grades obtained. This global test will be equivalent to the continuous assessment tests described above and will have a 100% weight in the final grade. It will consist of written practical exercises (40%) and written exercises related to theoretical contents (60%). To pass the subject, the student must obtain a final grade greater than or equal to 5.
SECOND CALL GLOBAL TEST
Students who do not pass the subject in the first call may sit for a global test set in the academic calendar for the second call. This test will consist of written practical exercises (40% of the final grade) and written exercises related to theoretical contents (60% of the final grade). To pass the subject, the student must obtain a final grade greater than or equal to 5.
